Hey! Did you think I was done with this? Sorry about that. A couple things happened that kept me from writing an update, but here we are!
Let’s start with the main one, which is that the weather’s been really weird this year. Most of the attention that was given to this was directed at the week long snow storm that hit the Northeast, and rightfully so, but that doesn’t mean we weren’t affected down here in Puerto Rico.
It’s been unusually cool all January and February, and it was nonstop rain the week of the storm. Because of that we didn’t see most of the cats in all that time, since well, cats like wet about as much as I like paying rent. Not sure where they were hiding to be perfectly honest with you, but really only Creamsicle showed his face.

Oh, that’s another thing: most of the neighbors have taken to calling him Praline instead. I believe there’s much less consensus on everybody else’s names however.
I finally caught a picture of the “little void” from a previous post (seen above), who I’ve decided to call Fudgie, short for Fudgesicle, since I believe them to be roughly the same age as Creamsicle despite the size difference. The older black tomcat I call Darkie, as in Dark Chocolate.
Now Coconut, who earned herself the featured pic for this post has seemingly decided she hates me, as you can tell by those airplane ears. I fed her once right after playing with my dog, and I guess she decided interacting with dog lovers was simply beneath her… though she still took the food, of course.
And finally this beauty showed up maybe a full week after the storm. I’m calling him The Colonel, because he’s older and his fur pattern reminds me of Col. Crunch Eclairs.
Now I’m considering using part of my first paycheck here to buy them all Churus to coax them into being friends, but we’ll see. Will update on that, hopefully soon.
